I am the walrus, coo coo ca choo.

You know you're having a bad week when the actions of Britany Spears a few years ago (read: shaving head and chasing paparazzi with an umbrella) seem relate-able.

Seems fair.

I think there is a tendency these days to portrays ones life online as idyllic and without its problems. I will, however, happily admit that I spent a good portion of the weekend crying in the shed. Because like a grown up, I tackle my problems head on. Lol. Not really. I spent most of the time wanting to destroy things.

Anyway.

Over the weekend, the house was cleaned top to bottom ready for the carpet being laid at the end of this week. A few other odd jobs were also completed, doors finished, knobs installed, laundry hook made up, towel racks installed etc. A huge thanks to Oma, Opa, Gary and Linda for all of their amazing hard work!!! Not only over the weekend but in general, too.

Today, Squirrel got one step further to having the kitchen on its merry way - a consult with our cabinet maker, locking in the bench top, adding corner cupboard spinners, giving measurements etc. All that remains is a final draw-up and for us to give the final go ahead. Our expected delivery date is the first week of September.

Our bookshelf was picked up and we got out-bidded on an entertainment unit - so Squirrel has thrown herself into looking for another one!

In fun news, however, Squirrel and Puffin were part of the back to back winning team of the local tennis club's trivia night.

Go team! (Good to see everyone got the blue, black and white clothing memo)

And so ends another weekend. Squirrel is feeling pretty down today (and yesterday, and the day before), despite getting a few good bargains when she went out shopping today. She is hoping this week of uni perks her up a bit, and failing that, will probably seek solace in the bottom of a pack of wizz fizz cones, and cheese and bacon balls. And if anyone brings me a freddo ice cream cake, that would be fine too.

Hoping for a happier week ahead bloggers, and more up-beat blogs in the meantime...
