Bicycle races are coming your way, So forget all your duties oh yeah.

Well look what we have here - new curtains! (Installed by Gary!) Below is a before & after of the curtains in the lounge room - I just feel I need to say that the second photo was taken late in the day with a flash and again, makes the room look overly blue/grey/like a soul-less rental property.

So here is a photo without the flash. In the lounge room we have what I think are called M-screens - we can see out, and no one can see in - unless we have lights on. Eventually we will combine this with blockout blinds but these things aren't cheap!

And then the master bedroom - so this is a blockout, and there is no screen under this, again, this will happen down the track when there is more cash! I also feel the need to explain that Puffin, in an act of Puffin-y defiance, moved his bedroom suite into the master bedroom instead of it's final destination, the spare room, until Squirrel moves in with her bedroom suite.

So, to some pretty things!! Here are 3 of the million things we want on the walls - the first two being prints from Viktor Hertz. I loved the Beatles one (look at the Octopus's Garden! awww) and then got the Rolling Stones one for free!! I love the red door being painted black. So clever. And then, brought back from London by the Meerkat - a London Tube tea towel! I've always loved having tea towels framed, and now can look forward to another one!

Now all that remains is to work out where everything will go!! In other news,  we got a quote for the tiles!!!!!!!!!!!! There are many exclamation points here a)because I'm never allowed to use them at uni, and b)because I am very excited about this.
If you remember from the last post, Squirrel had identified a number of sexy, sexy, geometric splashback tiles. If you remember the ones called the 'cube
from a Turkish designer? Well, we got a quote from Perini Tiles in Richmond for $130 per square meter. Obvioulsy, you can get tiles cheaper that this, but you know what, we don't care. Those are friggin awesome. And it's sooooo much cheaper than glass! We'll have to wait until mid-November but that's fine by us!!
