Are you ready, Are you ready for this, Are you hanging on the edge of your seat?

Oh John Deacon, that was some nice work there. That base beat. Daymn.

Anyway.

In some of the stranger things that we've seen over the course of these renovations, we again saw the woman on her electric wheelchair, with fluro high vis clothing, Australian flag and a dog running behind her.

We also saw a gentleman carrying a slow cooker into town, only to return some hours later, no longer holding it.

We've also noticed that every now and then, the town bus stops out the front of the house. Given that the bus stop is several blocks down the road, this is peculiar. There are a number of possible (though maybe not plausible) theories as to why this is. The first is that Harry, in his cloak of invisibility passed down to him from his father, and created by the brothers Peverell, was in fact standing out the front of our house, and had extended his illuminated wand (get your mind out of the gutter) and that the Knight Bus, in an effort to hide from muggles, is masquerading as the town bus. Another explanation might be that it is someones mother, masquerading as a town bus. You know, 'cause everyone has had a ride?

In other news. Squirrel attempted to go and work on the house today, but realised she had no keys to the shed and couldn't get to anything she needed. So she loitered and then came back later for a final measure-up of our kitchen by the cabinet maker. She is still toying with doing a post about the different places she got quotes from and a comparison but... still thinking. Tomorrow is therefore a big day for Squirrel.

I was going to add a section here about being tired and pretty cranky with this week in general, but it was too downbeat. Essentially - first week back of uni is always a big adjustment.

On a positive note, the floor needs probably only one more coat of varnish, the carpet goes down in what is now a weeks time, and during the week, Squirrel won this bookshelf off eBay for only $80, and picks it up on Saturday. Woohoo! It's an Ikea Expedit unit, which is usually $249 brand new.

To end, a shout out to one of Squirrels favorite people in the whole wide world, the beautiful snow devil sculptor, Cat. I hope you're enjoying these entries!!
